Production will not provide everyday items for crew during our time together. Please take a look at our list below of essential items all crew members will need to bring for themselves. If you have an issue providing any of the essential items, please let us know as soon as possible for us to try and accommodate if possible.

Crew that will be traveling will be provided housing during the duration of filming and orientation. Typically housing is in an Airbnb or college dorms, either a single dorm or one roommate. Continue to keep an eye on this page for more details as they become available.

This is your opportunity to get to acquainted with your team and the gear you’ll be using. We’ll have workshops, networking, and small group sessions. Full schedule to follow.

In industry, a normal day of filming is 12-14 hours. We intend to keep it shorter than that, but the days will still be long. Expect busy times with moments of rest.

Internships for students come in the form of a set stipend. The stipend will be paid out in two payments: half at the start of filming and half at the end.

Payment is done through the University of South Carolina, and you will have to register with them for the payment to go through. You will receive more information about this when you are onboarded.

On our scheduled shooting days, we will provide a one meal for lunch (which may take place at a different time each day depending on shooting schedule). We will also have crafty available throughout the day that will have snacks on set. Everyone will be responsible for their own dinners and meals on our off days.

You will be sent an emergency contact and dietary restrictions and allergies form in the body of the welcome email. Please fill that out so we can make accommodations for meals. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us before your arrival.

On Set Safety and Guidelines Filming takes place over long hours. People get tired and we want to ensure everyone remains safe. We will have a safety meeting each morning. Practice common sense and follow our guidelines below:

• Stay hydrated! Set will be HOT and hydration will help you stay healthy and happy.

• Be aware of your surroundings. We know, it sounds like common sense. But there is a lot happening on a film set (and a lot of it is fun to watch!) and it can be distracting. At the same time, there are a lot of points, vehicles, and hazards. Be alert and make smart decisions.

• Do not touch any gear or equipment unless instructed to do so. If you need to touch or move an item outside out your department, talk to a crew member in that department first.

• Close-toed shoes are required at all times on set.

• Please wear comfortable but appropriate clothing to work each day. We understand it is the summer and a beach setting however, this is still a work environment and we need to maintain our professionalism.

• If you feel unsafe at any moment or see any safety hazards on set, report them to a team leader or the 1st AD immediately.

During orientation we will go over lots of details including safety, setiquette, and set terminology. We will aim to not go over a 12-hour workday. We absolutely will have one 24-hour period off each week. Please keep in mind the schedule can change on a dime depending on weather, actor’s schedules, location availability, etc.
